Interested in getting your hands on a couple of well-maintained, well-loved GTs? You’re in luck as two GTs are currently on offer at Bring A Trailer. The first example is a rare, low mileage 2005 Ford GT while the other is a 2015 Ford Mustang GT Track Car.
2015 Ford Mustang GT
Purchased new by the seller from Galpin Ford of North Hills, California, this example was eventually converted for track use.
The example has a Guard metallic finish, and it has been modified to add a Roush front bumper cover, front tow hook, custom widebody fender flares, carbon-fiber APR GRC-250 adjustable rear wing, carbon-fiber front canards, APR extended front splitter, and vented fiberglass hood with hold-down pins.
Other equipment added includes front fog lights, sequential taillights, and HID projector headlights.
This Mustang was equipped with a satin bronze Forgestar F14 Super Deep 12×19” wheels with 325/30 Toyo Proxes R888R tires. It was also fitted with JRZ RS Pro coilovers with 50DA double-adjustable shafts and FA3030 pistons. Other modifications on the example include:
• Aluminum upper control arms, vertical links, adjustable toe links, adjustable rear camber links
• Front subframe brace, rear chassis brace, low-profile jacking rails
• GT350 front strut tower brace
• Vorshlag camber and caster plates
• Whiteline sway bars and adjustable end links
• Solid metal suspension bushings throughout
• Stainless steel brake lines
The cockpit has been stripped and painted white and a fixed Sparco bucket seat has been installed on the driver’s side while the passenger was given a Recaro seat. Both seats are upholstered in black cloth with four-point Takata harnesses. They fitted a roll cage and a weighted Barton Hybrid 3 short-throw shifter. There is also a fire extinguisher under the passenger side dashboard.
To make the example more lightweight, the air conditioning system has been removed, as well as the door panels, carpet, and other trim panels. The functional power locks, mirrors, and windows were kept.
Gauges on the dash include a speedometer, digital multifunction display, tachometer, fuel level, and coolant temperature. In the center stack, lies the oil pressure and boost. The odometer of the example shows 28k mileage.
Under the hood of the example is a 5.0-liter V8 engine which has been modified by the Addiction Motorsports of Simi Valley, California to run on E85 fuel. Other additional modifications on the engine include:
• JLT cold air intake
• GT350-spec intake manifold
• Mishimoto radiator, thermostat, and oil cooler
• ATI aluminum harmonic balancer camshaft pulley with AC delete
• Ford Racing 47 lb/hr fuel injectors and spark plugs
• GT350-spec baffled oil pan
• JLT oil separators
• Lightweight trunk-mounted battery
• Mishimoto aluminum coolant expansion tank
• JLT oil separators on both banks
• Solid engine mounts
The example has a six-speed manual transmission, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and a carbon-fiber driveshaft. They also installed a lightweight aluminum flywheel and stainless-steel clutch fluid lines.
The Carfax report shows minor damage in March 2016, but no details were provided.

2005 Ford GT
Only 2,022 units of these beauties were made for the model year.
The example is one of the 766 units that has a Mark IV Red finish, and it was also given an optional bold white-stripes and Ford GT script on the front doors.
All the four factory options were equipped in this beauty, and it includes forged aluminum BBS wheels, the bold white stripes, red-finished brake calipers, and McIntosh stereo system. The example was also equipped with HID headlights, air conditioning, side air intakes, fog lights, vented hood, short-throw shifter, back-up camera, a reflashed ECU, a Heffner Performance cat-back exhaust system, and a supercharger underdrive pulley.
The interior is trimmed in Ebony leather with a matching dashboard. The bare aluminum floors are covered with rubber mats. It has Sparco seats that feature carbon-fiber shells. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and sits in front of GT40-inspired instrument panel with a central tachometer and speedometer. There are also gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, boost, voltage, and fuel level.
This beautiful Ford GT is powered by a mid-mounted 5.4-liter DOHC V8 with aluminum block, cylinder heads, and pistons, as well as a dry-sump lubrication system, Lysholm screw-type supercharger, and water-to-air intercooler.
The best part of this car is that the digital odometer only shows 9k miles with roughly 500 miles added under current ownership.
The Carfax report shows that the car is free of accidents and shows history of registration in California, Florida, New Jersey, Virginia, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Arkansas. The car is currently located in Memphis, Tennessee.
